Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Aether platform operated by Aether ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
Aether is a client context platform for consulting firms. It connects to your existing tools (Slack, Gmail, Google Drive), ingests and indexes client-related content, and provides AI-powered agents that answer questions, generate briefs, and surface actionable insights — all with source citations.
2. Account Terms
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- One firm account may have multiple users. The account owner is responsible for all activity under their firm's account.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Aether.
3. Data Ownership
You own your data. All content ingested from your connected tools (Slack messages, emails, documents) remains your property. We do not claim any ownership or intellectual property rights over your data.
You grant us a limited license to process, store, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Aether service. This license terminates when you delete your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Aether to process data you do not have the right to access or share
- Attempt to access another firm's data or bypass multi-tenancy controls
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform
- Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to Aether without our written consent
5. AI-Generated Outputs
Aether uses AI (Anthropic's Claude) to generate responses based on your ingested data. While every response includes source citations, AI-generated outputs may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any information before acting on it. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content.
6. Third-Party Integrations
Aether connects to third-party services (Slack, Google Workspace) via OAuth. By authorizing these connections, you confirm that you have the necessary permissions to grant Aether access to the relevant data. We access only the specific channels, labels, and folders you authorize.
7. Billing & Payments
- Paid plans are billed monthly or annually, depending on the plan selected.
- Prices are per-client, not per-seat. All users in your firm are included in the plan price.
- AI usage beyond your plan's included allowance is billed at the end of each billing cycle. Your team is never blocked.
- Payment is processed by Stripe. All amounts are in USD unless otherwise stated.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. Upon termination:
- Your access to Aether will be revoked at the end of the current billing period.
- Your data will be retained for 30 days to allow for reactivation, after which it will be permanently deleted.
- You may request an export of your data prior to deletion by contacting us.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practicable.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aether shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Aether is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a notice in the application at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of Aether after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
