Changelog
What's new in Aether
Every meaningful release in plain English. Newest first. If you want to see what's next, the roadmap is one click away.
- Feature
Firm-wide decision intelligence
- Every decision your team logs now feeds a firm-level Decisions view — searchable across all clients, not buried in one engagement.
- When you capture a new decision, Aether surfaces similar past calls from across the firm so you're not relitigating something a colleague already settled.
- Outcomes are distilled weekly into firm context, so the system gradually learns what tends to work for your firm — every claim still traced back to its source.
- Launch
A focused new homepage — and a "Just ask" demo that runs itself
- Rebuilt the homepage around a few clear value pillars instead of a wall of agents, so you can see what Aether does for your firm in a single scroll.
- Added a dedicated Features page: every agent grouped by what it's actually for, each with an honest shipped / beta / roadmap status so you always know what's live versus on the way.
- The "Just ask" section is now alive — it asks itself real questions and shows Aether picking the right agent for each one, including running two agents at once ("get status on Acme and prep me for my 2pm") and chaining one into the next (debrief a call, then log the decision that came out of it).
- It mirrors the real product surface: the same live task feed and the same cited answers you get inside the app, so the homepage shows you exactly how it works rather than just describing it.
- Feature
Recall that checks itself
- Answers now carry a freshness signal — when Recall leans on something that may be out of date, it says so in the citation rather than stating it flatly.
- Contradiction flags surface when two sources in your knowledge graph disagree, so you find the conflict instead of unknowingly quoting the wrong one.
- Launch
Client Health agent (beta)
- A weekly Monday digest — in Slack and email — that scores the health of every client and flags the ones trending the wrong way before they become a problem.
- Now reads tone, not just activity: a language layer picks up frustration and cooling sentiment in the actual messages, and a feedback loop lets you correct false flags so it sharpens over time.
- Meeting Prep also goes proactive — your brief now lands in your Slack DM before each calendar event, no need to ask.
- Launch
Proposal & SOW automation, and the Scope Creep agent
- Aether now drafts proposals and SOWs from your engagement context — the second AI product in the suite for consulting firms.
- On approval, the SOW's scope is extracted and handed to a new Scope Creep agent that watches for drift — flagging out-of-scope requests with the exact messages that triggered them and the SOW line they depart from.
- Feature
The Managing Partner morning view — dashboard, redesigned
- Rebuilt the home dashboard around one job: what needs a partner's attention this morning. Stripped the noise, added a Firm Pulse strip across the top and an Alert Rail down the side.
- A new Action Item Tracker rolls every open commitment up across engagements, so nothing promised on a call slips through the cracks.
- Launch
Stakeholder Power-Map (beta)
- A new per-client Stakeholder tab that maps who actually holds influence — each contact typed (champion, sponsor, blocker, economic buyer) with an inferred influence score, drawn automatically from your Slack, email, and calendar activity.
- Watches the relationships, not just the inbox: alerts when a champion goes quiet for 21+ days, when a sponsor changes, when a new decision-maker appears, or when someone goes dark.
- Rolling out in beta to Growth-tier firms.
- Launch
BD Prospecting — Prospect Brief + Outreach Draft
- Ask for a brief on any prospect and Aether researches them on the open web, then matches them to your closest past engagement so you walk in with a relevant point of view, not a cold pitch.
- A companion Outreach Draft agent writes the first-touch message — differentiated by who's sending it and the context you already have on the account.
- Launch
Methodology Adherence agent
- Capture how your firm actually delivers — your methodology and stage gates — once, with per-engagement overrides. For tenured accounts Aether drafts it from history so there's no form to fill.
- It then watches live engagements for drift: missing artifacts, skipped gates, and behavioral signals from Debriefs and Decisions, surfaced in the Daily Brief with a 48-hour Slack escalation if left unacknowledged.
- Acknowledging a drift requires a reason, which is stored and queryable — so the firm builds a record of why it deviated.
- Launch
Engagement P&L view
- Per-engagement margin at a glance — revenue minus inferred effort cost — with a trend line across the engagement's life.
- A firm-level rollup slices margin by engagement, client, engagement type, or period, so you can see where the firm actually makes money. Scale tier.
- Launch
Margin-Leak agent
- Finds the money quietly leaking out of fixed-fee engagements — unscoped requests honored for free, over-delivery, and creeping effort — without anyone filling in a timesheet.
- Infers delivered effort from real activity (calendar, Slack, email), compares it to the scope and your rate card, and sends a weekly leak digest to each engagement owner with cited evidence.
- Available on the Scale tier; full evidence drawer on every engagement's margin surface.
- Fix
A batch of fixes
- The first person to sign up for a new firm is now correctly made the owner — previously they could get locked out of Settings.
- Changing your account name in Settings no longer reverts when you navigate around the app.
- Fixed a race on the Actions page where a refresh could overwrite your client filter with a stale all-clients fetch.
- The Decision agent video on the homepage now starts from the beginning instead of mid-clip.
- Launch
Win/Loss Synthesis agent
- When a deal closes won or lost, Aether auto-drafts a win/loss memo from everything that happened across the engagement — you review and approve before it's saved.
- Ask Recall firm-wide win-rate questions and a rollup agent answers across every closed deal: where you win, where you lose, and why. Growth tier.
- Polish
Feedback buttons, a privacy mode, and steadier reliability
- Every agent answer now has 👍 / 👎 buttons (in-app and in Slack) so you can tell us when something's off — wired straight to the underlying trace so we can actually fix it.
- Added a per-firm sensitive mode that redacts personal data before anything leaves your tenant, for firms with stricter data handling needs.
- Behind the scenes: spend caps, uptime monitoring, and end-to-end tracing so issues get caught and resolved faster.
- Launch
Recall becomes a natural-language command surface
- Recall is no longer just question-and-answer — it now understands intent and runs the right agent for you. Ask in plain English and Aether routes you to Status, Meeting Prep, Debrief, Onboarding, and more.
- Ask for two things at once — "get status on Acme and prep me for my 2pm" — and it runs both agents in parallel, each rendering as its own live card in a task feed.
- Chain agents together: "debrief our last call and log the decision" runs Debrief, then hands its output to the Decision agent — a real sequential workflow from one sentence.
- When an agent needs more from you (a transcript, which engagement), it just asks inline. Firm-wide agents run without picking a client first.
- Feature
Currencies and client logos
- Pick your firm's currency in Settings — and it now sticks everywhere, including when you enter a proposal (it used to fall back to US dollars).
- Upload a logo per client; it shows up across the CRM views so your roster is easier to scan.
- Feature
Per-client Client Brief
- Each client now has a persistent brief that Recall reads before it searches — so answers start from the durable facts about the account, not just whatever the vector search turns up.
- A read-only viewer on the client page lets you see exactly what Aether knows about a client at a glance.
- Feature
Pricing reposition and a lighter landing page
- Reworked pricing on the landing page, added annual billing through Stripe, and fixed the ROI calculator.
- Cleaned up the top nav and retired the standalone Diagnostic and Scanner surfaces (with redirects in place) so the path into the product is clearer.
- Feature
Pipeline revenue forecasting
- Your pipeline now forecasts weighted revenue — stage probability times deal value — across every engagement in the firm.
- Tune the win probability for each stage in-app, forecast by close-date period (this month / this quarter / custom), and watch the trend over time on a chart.
- Launch
The Decision agent — and sources on every answer
- A new Decision agent captures not just what was decided, but the why behind it — and tracks how each decision plays out over time, so your firm builds a memory of its own judgment.
- Source citations are no longer a Recall-only thing: every agent's output now cites where each claim came from. No unsourced summaries, anywhere.
- Launch
ClickUp two-way task sync
- ClickUp joins Asana and Todoist as a fully two-way task connector — action items flow Aether → ClickUp on create and edit, and completions flow back.
- Shook out the early issues along the way: ClickUp now syncs automatically (not just on a manual push), routes inbound tasks to the right client even when clients share a List, and preserves priority and description in both directions.
- Launch
Client OS — Engagements, pipeline, and activity timeline
- Aether now runs the structured side of your client business, not just the context layer behind it.
- A real consulting pipeline: eight stages from Lead → Discovery → Scoping → Proposal Sent → Verbal → Signed → Active → Won/Lost, drag-and-drop kanban across every client in your firm.
- Each engagement gets its own page: activity timeline (Slack, Gmail, Drive grouped by day), contacts with roles, proposals with Drive links, full stage history, and notes — all citation-backed.
- Replaces HubSpot / Attio / Notion-as-CRM for boutique consulting firms. One workspace for context and pipeline, no more two tools that don't talk.
- Available now to Founding Members; rolling out to all firms over the next two weeks.
- Feature
Microsoft 365 connector
- Firms on Microsoft can now connect Microsoft 365 (Outlook / OneDrive / Teams via Azure) alongside the existing Google and Slack connectors — so your client context comes in no matter which stack you run on.
- Fix
Fixed: "Book a demo" button at the end of the brand video
- The CTA in the closing scene of the 60-second walkthrough was a styled element, not a real link — clicking it did nothing.
- It's now a proper button that opens Calendly. Apologies to anyone who tried to book through it and bounced.
- Polish
Promo video on the landing page
- Replaced the static "See how it works" CTA with a real 60-second walkthrough — popup on click, plus an inline section further down the page.
- Custom thumbnail and bundle polish so the player loads fast on first paint.
- Polish
Blog index gets a responsive grid
- Switched the blog listing from stacked cards to a responsive grid — easier to scan, denser on wider screens.
- Scaled up heading sizes inside long-form posts so the prose hierarchy actually reads like an article.
- Feature
Todoist two-way sync
- If your team lives in Todoist, action items now flow both ways — Aether → Todoist on creation and edit, Todoist → Aether on completion.
- Mirrors the Asana sync behaviour: pick the project mapping once, the rest is automatic.
- Launch
Context Leak Scanner — free public lead magnet
- A free, no-signup scanner at buildaether.com/scan that estimates how much client context is leaking across your firm's tools.
- Connect a Slack, Drive, or email sample and get a personalised leak report in under a minute.
- Designed as a way to feel the problem before you commit to a workspace.
- Polish
Connector UX cleanup
- Removed the row of manual Pull / Push / Register / Force re-register buttons from connector cards — auto-sync owns the happy path now.
- Diagnostics still live one click away under "Show sync details" if something looks off.
- Launch
Asana two-way sync
- Aether and Asana now stay in lockstep: webhook-driven inbound updates, push-back on every edit, and cascade-on-delete that marks the Asana task completed.
- Supports custom-field status, not just board sections — so your existing project conventions keep working.
- Map a project to a client once; nothing else to manage.
- Feature
Annual billing with a 20% discount
- Pricing page now has an annual / monthly toggle, defaulting to annual.
- 20% off when you pay yearly — wired end-to-end through checkout and the billing backend.
- Launch
Public blog launched
- Admin-managed blog at buildaether.com/blog with cover images, prose styling, and individual post pages.
- Already linked from the Resources menu we added on April 19 — this is the content infra behind it.
- Launch
Linear two-way sync
- Linear is now a first-class connector: full team ingestion plus true bidirectional action-item sync.
- Per-team status fidelity — Aether mirrors your real Linear workflow states instead of flattening them to To-do/Done.
- Per-client opt-in for Linear-originated items, so you can keep noisy projects out of a client view.
- Every webhook delivery is logged on the action item so you can see exactly what synced and when.
- Feature
Context Health Diagnostic replaces the Recall Tax Calculator
- A 9-question AI diagnostic that generates a personalised Context Health Report for your firm in under 60 seconds.
- Names your specific context leaks in your own language — onboarding drag, knowledge walkout, tool scatter, and more.
- Available at buildaether.com/diagnostic. The old /recall-tax URL redirects here.
- Feature
Public roadmap and changelog
- New Resources menu in the top nav, with a public roadmap, changelog, and blog.
- The roadmap shows every feature we've shipped, what we're working on now, and what's next — updated as we go.
- This page is that changelog.
- Launch
Client Health Agent launched
- A Green / Yellow / Red engagement score for every active client, refreshed weekly.
- Monday morning digest delivered to your Slack and inbox — who's healthy, who's drifting, who needs a check-in call.
- Five behavioural signals watched per client: reply times, message frequency, meeting cadence, approval turnaround, and silence gaps.
- Visit any client's Health tab to see the full breakdown.
- Polish
UI refresh — cooler, cleaner, darker by default
- Rebuilt the app's visual language around cool neutral tones, a tighter 8px corner radius, and the terracotta accent you already know.
- Dark mode is now the default — easier on your eyes if you live in this thing all day.
- Every status badge, health pill, and agent card now reads cleanly in both light and dark.
- Polish
Settings tab scrolling + Help chatbot
- Tabs inside Settings now scroll gracefully on narrow screens instead of wrapping.
- The in-app Help chatbot now knows about every shipped feature — ask it anything about how Aether works.
- Feature
Workspace roles and access control
- Four role levels: Owner, Admin, Member, and Viewer.
- Only owners and admins can run destructive actions; viewers can see but not modify.
- Launch
Connect Aether to Claude Desktop
- One-click OAuth 2.0 setup — give Claude Desktop (or any MCP-capable client) secure read access to your client context.
- Ask Claude anywhere in your machine and it answers with your real firm data, with citations.
- Feature
Recall slash commands in Slack
- Three new commands while chatting with Recall: /task, /debrief, and /pin.
- /task turns the conversation into a tracked action item; /debrief promotes it into a full Debrief; /pin saves a synthesis to the client's notes.
- Launch
Senior review gate on outbound client work
- Proposal and report drafts can now be routed to a senior for approval before they go out.
- Reviewers see clear context, can leave comments, and either approve or request revisions — all in-app.
- Nothing client-facing goes out without a human sign-off.
- Feature

- New client-onboarding prompt surfaces in Recall when we notice gaps in your setup.
- Completeness ring on each client shows what sources are connected and what's missing.
